User Account Types

1. Standard User Account

• Default account type for all registered members.
• Can post (except in "Announcements"), edit and delete their own posts.
• Can interact with posts marked as "Logged-in Users" or "Public".
• Cannot access posts marked as "Private" or "Friends-only" unless connected.

2. Moderator Account

• Full content control site-wide including Announcements.
• Can moderate all user types including Supervisors.
• Cannot view or alter private messages.

3. Administrator Account

• Ultimate authority to moderate, manage users, reset credentials, and ban users.
• Cannot access PMs but can restrict PM capabilities for others.

Privacy Features

• Email addresses are private unless disclosed by the user.
• PM notifications are routed via site email, not personal addresses.
• Email validation required for registration activation.
• Spambot filtering using services like stopforumspam.com.
• Walled Garden ensures login is required to view 98% of content.
• Granular profile/message board privacy controls: Private, Friends, Logged-in Users.
• Reporting tools available for both content and user behaviors.
• Accounts can be deleted via settings (30-day ban before permanent deletion).

Security Measures

• Spambot detection via real-time checks of IP/email/username.
• Country-based blocking (.htaccess) with over 4500 IP ranges excluded.
• Site activity locked behind login wall, similar to legacy platforms like Orkut.
• Profile fields secured with independent access levels.
• Posts and group content follow selected visibility restrictions.
